Can you boot of "ANY" other CD?
Some laptops have a "press F12 for boot menu" when they POST.. if you get=
 that use it to tell it to boot from the CD ROM.

could you please specify what does happen at all when inserting the Live =0D
CD?

The CD is in the boot sequence of the BIOS?
Busmaster on?
CD is master or slave? (some BIOSes don=B4t like booting from slaves, of=0D
whatever reason - I had to put an IDE CDrom into my Server box on IDE0,=0D
because it didn=B4t like the SCSI Cdrom).

Maybe it will help ;-)

Thanks for the tips! The CDR is set to boot in the bios, but it's the slave=
=0D
to the hard disk, I'll try swap them around. What is the Busmaster?
