9 years is presumably the biggest sentence ever meted out to a spammer. 2 years is no doubt a relatively short sentence for child abuse - maybe it was relatively mild abuse? (I have no idea), but the point is that this comparison is not sensible, and just flame-bait.
Also worth bearing in mind is that the child-molester preusmably did a lot of harm to one child, whilst the spammer did a little harm to tens of millions of people. Those 9 years work out to 47 seconds jail time for each one of 10 million people. That seems pretty fair to me.
