Agreed. And please don't say that "oh, in various European languages it's spelled that way."
aKademy? Sorry. That's just wrong. And people wonder why Linux doesn't appear "professional"...

Absolutely. Call them KDE:Appname or something. The K's are (a) uglier than the G's for GNU and (b) visible to end-users, not just programmers.

I do like the 'K' prefix. It also makes it easier for me to search for those KDE apps. "rpm -qa |grep 'k*' . As well as for gnome.

When I see the K in front of an application name, I instantly know it's a KDE desktop application.

Its no different than a lot of Windows apps starting with the prefix "Win", or mac products starting with "i" (what the heck does that i stand for?), nobdoy complains about these.. regardless of the naming scheme, the products funtion, and that's what users care about the most, IMHO.
