Not sure they can do anything. About time though. I already switched to the MAC anyway.

I think they are prepared for that. They watch what is happening and ready to counter the effects.

Agree with many of the comments listed here. I prefer choice at the end of the day - and I choose Mac now and not windows.

they should create a software which users find it useful and amazing.so they have no chance to go with options like this

I do not believe that any sort of Free wares is going to hurt Microsoft in any way but instead will bring in more subscribers to is list.

Who has really been able to give them a run for their money? This is free enterprise so any highly innovative and savvy business could challenge their status.

So long as there are a multitude of users who can only use something straight from the box...there will be a huge market for Microsoft. We forget that not everyone can or wants to use something where they have to think.

It is a problem if Mircosoft is only now realizing this. The model of selling the big bloated software package has been outdated for a while now. People want quick, cheap (if not free), user addons.
