Yes it is monopolistic, but don't take for granted what has microsoft has started out. They really have tremendous contribution to our tech/software today. I guess it is just right for us to pay for their softwares, it is a 'royalty'. But they should also come up with some free software too or make their price reasonable.:)

I agree. I am currently using Open Office and Mozilla's Firefox and am telling all my friends to do the same.
