Firefox shouldn't be compared to Opera as heavily. For one, it is a free open-source project while Opera is a purchased product (with the exception of the free ad-supported download). Opera is supposed to be feature laden, hence the better download tools. As far as a lack of standards for Firefox's extentions, it's a open-source project. Freedom and lack of standards is it's point. That's why you buy Opera.

Oh, and when was Firefox making strides "since 0.9". I wasn't aware they had even finished that.

Not to be a jerk or anything, but Internet Explorer is significantly faster than Firefox in just about everything.


Firefox is by far the better browser, but saying it is faster than IE is just flat out incorrect.

a plugin that added incredible amount of options and functionality to tabbed browsers ... I could not find that powerful plugin again
