Hi,
what did you in your xinitrc.
If you want to start an Application that start later them the other
Stuff in the xinitrc, try to set a 
--------
sleep 5 && <command_of_your_choice>
--------
at the bottom of the file.
The sleep command let the the command 5 Seconds later then the Stuff
before.
