XFCE: Use another GTK Engine

Hi all,

        I use XFCE 4 (generated from source) on GTK 2.4 on a Mandrake 10 
Community.
        I would like to know how can I use another gtk engine (means other than
gtk-xfce-engine).
        When I try to use a theme based on another gtk engine (by putting the
.gtkrc-2.0 file of the theme or using Gnome options from the KDE control
center), I get this eror:

        Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "XXXX"

        and gtk-xfce-engine is still used (but it uses some properties from the
.gtkrc-2.0 file).
