xtdesktop

Following the links from a previous posting about icons, I downloaded 
xtdesktop. I could not figure out how to get it running and saw no 
installation instructions on the xtdesktop Web site.

Any pointers for how to make it work on Xfce? Any recommendations for 
similar icon managers?
