[Wine] Problems Installing

I installed Wine for use with a couple programs that are designed for use with 
Diablo II.  I am playing a mod and they are somewhat necessary for proper 
playability.

I seem to be having problems with anything I try to do in the terminal with us 
of wine.  The PlugY installer gives this message:
fixme:actctx:parse_depend_manifests Could not find dependent assembly 
L"Microsoft.Windows.Common-Controls"
Then it just sits there and doesn't change.

I have tried running the D2 Installer in the terminal as well, but after I hit 
enter it just sits there for ever.  From what I can tell I am doing everything 
right, or have done so.  I installed Xcode and I have Leopard, so I shouldn't 
need to install X11.  I also installed MacPorts as described in the tutorial, 
but everything I try doesn't work.

Any idea what I might have done wrong?
