RE: NUnit Wiki (was: Active User Stories): msg#00067windows.dotnet.nunit.devel
Charlie Both emails have some good points... if our goal were to widely publicize the wiki and have broad participation. However, the original goal was to have deep participation of a selected group of people - the core NUnit developers. Later, that was augmented by some folks who volunteered. So, finding the wiki wasn't a big issue - we really didn't want lots and lots of people to find it. And having to get an id wasn't an issue, at least for the initial group, because the wiki was set up with ids for all of them. [One reason for ids is that I've had some bad experience with wiki spam on other sites. Of course, some wiki software does a better job of weeding things out than others.] My personal view is that the wiki doesn't work as a means of communication among the core developers because not all of them find a wiki to be a friendly medium to use. That's a shock to me, but based on who is editing pages it seems to be the case. Of course, the wiki could be re-purposed toward some other goals, such as user input, but I wanted to first clear up why it was created.
