Looks like some sort of problem with short and long 
filenames?

The WiX 3.0 version of dark uses a much simplier method of
extracting files which should completely avoid this problem.
 Please try it instead and re-activate with an attached
example msi file if the issue still repros.

Moving to WiX v3 where dark has been significantly 
revamped to handle things better.
