Initial Comment:
I added a new Votive project to an existing VS.NEt 2003
solution.

Doing a Build Solution gives the error:

Error: Invalid pointer

The solution contains a mixture of projects - C#,
VB.NET, Managed C++ and a VS Deployment project.

If i add a new votive project to a simple solution with
just a VB app, it works fine.

I found the same issue.  Building my solution listed 
the "Error: Invalid pointer" message in my output.  

My solution is all C#, but it has multiple projects (Windows 
apps, web services, web application, and deployment 
projects).

I found that removing the previously defined deployment 
projects from my solution cleared the error.
