Trying Jawin: msg#00008windows.devel.jawin
I am new to Jawin and I have 3 questions: * does the stub generator have an equivalent of the /xh option of jactivex (MS JVM)? * what is the performance impact of the Jawin approach as opposed to raw JNI? * why did my very first attempt to generate stubs against a type library end in: bash-2.05b$ java -jar jawinBrowser.jar Loaded TypeLibWrapper Loaded TypeLibWrapper [DEBUG] ******************************************** [DEBUG] TypeInfo GUID: GUID{6aca9bc0 7b22 11d1 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00} [DEBUG] TypeInfo Locale: 0 [DEBUG] TypeInfo Platform: 1 [DEBUG] TypeInfo Major version: 1 [DEBUG] TypeInfo Minor version: 0 [DEBUG] TypeInfo Flags: 8 java.lang.RuntimeException: org.jawin.COMException: 80070057: null at org.jawin.browser.typelib.TypeParser.buildUserDefinedDescription(TypeParser.java:921) Please note that jactivex is able to generate wrappers for that library but reports one error: tagRemSNB.java(rgString): warning: skipped. Cannot be used as a structure field. FYI, other errors reported by jactivex (though not on this library) are of the "warning: skipped. Too many indirections." variety. Thanks in advance, -- O.L. |
