I use Janus GridEX and find it excellent. All of their stuff has a good
object model, and their support is excellent.

Before I trashed the System.Windows.Forms.DataGrid (in other words...
Bought a 3rd party), I did actually get conditional cell formatting to
work with the provided DataGrid, it was based on an article that's on
MSDN somewhere. At the moment I can't find the article, but it's one of
those articles that's referenced pretty much everywhere that's handling
a FAQ for the autistic grid that we have in 1.1

I would also, I ideally love to change the color of the cell or at least
the text of the cell based on whether the number is positive or
negative.

I have a column in a data grid that contains a double data type. I want
to make the grid show only two decimals. How would I do this?

Re: That VB.NET uninitialized variable problem (was SOLVED: Running a pp in IDE calculates diffe rent res ults from compiled EXE)

Man, fascinating. I'm very nearly out of ideas. Without giving away any big secrets, can you let us know what the call to item.IsOvertimeCode entails? (Any interop w/ Excel, or other such messiness?) That seems to be the only non-trivial (?) stream of code in the loop... it's a longshot, but it's conceivable that some misbehaving code down in that call stack is trashing the local variables, up in your stack frame. The JIT compiler doesn't do the "canary in the stack frame" buffer-security check trick that the late model C/C++ compilers do, with /GS... I wonder if perhaps it should? Looping through child controls

Hi All, I have 6 User Controls. Each of these 6 User controls sit on a tab which in turn sits on a User Control say ParentUC. All these User controls inherit from a custom base user control which extends from the standard Winforms UserControl. Now my question is, I wanted a method say DisableAllControls ()/EnableAllControls, which when called should disable/enable all the controls on the UserControls. Basically this DisableAllControls/EnableAllcontrols would be sitting in my ParentUC. When any of the method is called then it should disable/enable all the controls in the UserControls sitting on the ParentUC. Any help in this would be really helpful. Thanks Nischal

Infragistics here, too. I also have devexpress (and they have some VERY nice features - extremely nice), but basically Infragistics was here first and got stuck. Talking of "Suites" it is Infragistics (with graphs) against DevExpress (no graphs but report writers). Infragistics looks "Less candylike" at first sight, while Devexpress really looks like the XP look in all it's stuff (which personally I turned off). Thomas Tomiczek THONA Software & Consulting Ltd.
