Our reporting services would be accessed from the internet, so it would
basically be Forms Authentication, the sql server dba basically said he
cannot let port 80 or 8080 opened in the sql server machine.
When you say locked down IIS, it still needs http port to be opened...

SQL Reporting Services (was: RE: [DOTNET-WEB] RE: [DOTNET-WEB] RE: [DOTNET-WEB] RE: [DOTNET-WEB] PDF reports)
I will confirm this as well.
On a related thread... We're trying SQL Reporting Services out and have
found a limitation with passing parameters; since it passes parameters
through the url, we're limited in length. This is a real issue for us
as we want to integrate the reports into our web application. Often we
collect multiple projects and resources that far exceed the url length
limitation. Has anyone else had this issue?
Thanks.

I see, its web facing, as in on the internet. I dread to think what the
cost of CR for web facing applications is....
There are plenty of dotnet pdf librarys around some of them free this
one is one the code project
http://www.codeproject.com/csharp/GiosPdfNETlibrary.asp
There is one on sourcforge that lets you create a pdf if much the same
way that you use the dotnet drawing tools... Sourceforge is not letting
me in at the minute, so I can't search it.
And stacks of pay for ones, a good guide to them is here:
