RE: Re: Bug in GetSystemMetrics(SM_CYMENU) for WM 5.0 OS?: msg#00046windows.ce.devel
I concur... The Dell WM5 implementation IS returning only 23 for SM_CYMENU. (But under WM2003SE, it is correct as "ppcinfo" has already reported) Looks like I need to do something similar as mentioned below. Can anybody with a different VGA device other than Dell check to see what value is returned. For the menu bar window that I create I use a GetClientRect() call to get the window height. I also have to add 2 or 4 pixels to that value depending on it it is a QVGA or VGA device. ppcinfo --- In windowsce-dev@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Freeman Ng <fng@xxxx> wrote: > > What was the hack? > > -----Original Message----- > From: pocketpcinfo [mailto:pocketpcinfo@xxxx] > Sent: Friday, November 04, 2005 12:25 PM > To: windowsce-dev@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [windowsce-dev] Re: Bug in GetSystemMetrics(SM_CYMENU) for WM > 5.0 OS? > > > Someone verified that they came across this same bug, and they used a > hack to get around it (which is what I was forced to do). > > ppcinfo > > --- In windowsce-dev@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "Kevin R.
