POOM restrict() with DATE_NONE

This works good for restricting a task search for items with no due 
date defined:

wsprintf(szRestrict,L"[DueDate] = 1/1/4501");

However, the equivalent below does not work:

wsprintf(szRestrict,L"[DueDate] =  <949998.0");

The pimstore.h file defines: DATE_NONE = 1/1/4501 = 949998.0

>From what I've learned, both restriction definitions should work the 
same. Does anyone know why the second form of the restriction doesn't 
work? Any help would be appreciated!
