Actually, no, it's Win 2K pro.  And if I use the shortcut to the
EXE, then I right-click on the shortcut, I can use the run as other user
option.  Or if I'm logged in as Administrator, I can run a cmd
window, cd to the directory, and run the executable. But there are no
other arguments in the shortcut.

It does have the working directory set, to the same directory I am
running the script from, the same directory the executable is
in.

so you have windows xp, and "Run as..." is part of explorer.exe, now,
let's see, is it a shortcut you right click? Or is it the EXE? see
properties of shortcut (if shortcut) and see if it is run with
arguments. and see if it has a working directory set...
