nothing has changed that could have affected this. The only thing that
might have changed is that you may have switched from compiling with
Imlib to gdk-pixbuf, or vice versa

alternatively, maybe your X server is either only providing an eight
bit visual, or sawfish is incorrectly selecting that visual. Try using
the --depth and --visual options (e.g. "--depth 16 --visual TrueColor")
