references: msg#00128web.zope.plone.archetypes.devel
Hi all, I'm trying to use the referencing mechanisms available in Archetypes. I can't find any documentation out here, and I can't figure from the source if I'm doing something wrong, or if I'm just misunderstanding what references are/how they work. Basically, I want to 'link' a copy of an object to it's original. I do something like (zope pseudo code): copy = orig.clone() orig.addReference(copy) This does give me a 'referenced by' entry in the references tab, pointing to 'orig'. However, I don't see a 'referencing' entry in orig's references tab - why not? Also, what's the 'relationship' argument to addReference? Just a string, identifying some used defined relation, or are there pre-defined relations somewhere? Cheers Ivo -- Drs.
