I've implemented such a system in the past few days. You can find it in
the archetypes'cvs. You can specify in your schema which attributes you
want to be I18nizable by taking the I18N prefixed field instead of the
original field you wished (for instance, take I18NStringField for
StringField). You'll also find in Archetypes.public the
I18NCONTENT_ACTIONS variables which contains 2 additional action for
objects which have I18N content.

It's still experiemental and lake documentation but it should work.
