Subject: Re: render error for navbar in XHTML - msg#00008
List: web.wml
Maybe you should specify --passoption=2,-X3074 instead of --passoption=2-X?
Otherwise wml has problems with un-closed tags within mp4h macros.
I should also note that you may wish to take a look at HTML::Widgets::NavMenu
(shameless plug, sorry) as an alternative to wml::des::navbar:
http://web-cpan.berlios.de/modules/HTML-Widgets-NavMenu/
See here for a working code:

render error for navbar in XHTML
Hello,
I am trying to convert my HTML sources to XHTML. But when using the WML navbar
feature, I stumble into an error I couldn't yet resolve. Here is what happens
when trying the Classic Navigation Bar example from the documentation for
wml::des::navbar(3).
Werner
wml -W2,--expansion=0 -o foo.html foo.wml
mp4h: Warning:./nb.inc:7: `</navbar:header>' found when `</tr>' expected
mp4h: Warning:./nb.inc:10: `</navbar:prolog>' found when `</td>' expected
mp4h: Warning:./nb.inc:11: `</navbar:prolog>' found when `</td>' expected
mp4h: Warning:./nb.inc:11: `</navbar:define>' found when `</td>' expected
mp4h: ERROR:./nb.inc:11: EOF when reading body of the <td> tag
** WML:Break: Error in Pass 2 (rc=1).
wml -V

Update: Talks about WML at "Linuxtag Karlsruhe" and "Chemnitzer Linuxtag" this year
Hi!

Due to an overwhelming number of offers for talks at those events
(Open Source seems to becoming popular :), both events had to reject
my offer in favour of talks about open source subjects better fitting
to the populace. The Chemnitzer Linux-Tage are now over (they were
great) and Linuxtag in Karlsruhe is coming near quite fast.
But the Linuxtag organiser team did not completely reject my offer,
they transferred my talk proposal to the OSCOM-Tag, an one-day Open
Source Content Management Systems conference hold at Linuxtag
Karlsruhe similar to the Debian Day conference at Linuxtag. And the
OSCOM-Tag organiser(s) accepted my offer to hold a talk about WML.
See
http://de.oscom.org/veranstaltungen/oscomtag2005/konferenz/programm/
for the conference programme (German only AFAICS).
Though I'm happy that I can hold a talk about WML, I somehow feel a
little bit like a stranger on that conference (between eZ, Day, Typo3,
Apache Lenya (former Wyona IIRC) and Zope), because I see WML still as
some kind of timeless Anti-CMS. :-)
On the other hand, the OSCOM-Tag organisers seem to like the idea to
show that Content Management does not necessarily mean that there is a
webinterface... ;-)
Or did anyone build a CMS ontop of WML yet? I once build a web
interface with Embperl for starting the WML publishing process via the
web (including a preview function), but I refuse to call this a CMS.
:-)
