SuExec authentication

I  put Phpwiki on one of our web servers,  I have not been able to access the admin page, it does not accept my password.  I contacted out support and this is the response I got;

 

The problem is with the type of authentication the admin.php script uses. Since we are running SuExec on our servers, there is no option to use $PHP_AUTH_PW
Please contact the developers of this application and ask if they offer an alternative authentication mechanism, that would work on SuExec servers.

 

Any suggestions on how to accomplish this?
