Hosted wiki gets frequent write permission errors ??

All,

I am trying to host a phpwiki on a public site. It is getting frequent 
write permission errors. If I wait or retry it seems to work. There are 
inconsistencies in the file owner - group settings. The wiki was created 
with owner-mysite; group my-site. Phpwiki creates files with owner 
apache; group apache. Could this be the cause of this??

It seems if I wait and retry that the wiki works. Is this a data caching 
issue caused by the site??
