hi to everybody,
just a brief announcement to tell you that i have uploaded an updated version
of the GNU wget website on:
http://www.gnu.org/software/wget/
the most significant change is that now, thanks to james bouressa, the GNU
wget project has finally an official FAQ:
http://www.gnu.org/software/wget/faq.html
you are encouraged to visit the FAQ and report any errors or suggestions to
james <james_at_bouressa_dot_com>. personally, i think that james did a great
work - especially if we think that this is just the first version of the FAQ.
thank you very much, james!!!
another change which is worth to notice is that from now on the official wget
website will be the one on gnu.org. however, the wget website on sunsite.dk:
http://wget.sunsite.dk
(which was formerly the official one) will not be deprecated. instead, it will
be used in order to support the development effort behind GNU wget. i think
it makes much more sense than having two almost identical websites.
as always, if anybody wants to help working on the wget websites, any help is
more than welcome. just send me an email ;-)
