Hello all,
I´ve been using the fantastic wget utility. Until now, I´ve only noticed a
major glitch:
- when you´re using a proxy it *still* insistis in performing DNS lookups,
thus wasting time, or worse still, disallowing the mirroring operation in
some internal networks.
The proxy is the only entity responsible for the DNS lookups for its own
requests. Furthemore, when I setup a internal net, I don´t allow it to
resolve external names.
When I´m working outside, I just setup a fake DNS server in my box that
refuses to resolve external names.
