How did you make Webmin run on Windows? ;-)

You should never have to reboot, unless upgrading the kernel, or testing for behavior on a reboot.

Simply kill the miniserv.pl process (grep the output of 'ps -ax' for that info). For more info:

man kill

man ps

man grep

I just change the .conf file and am trying to stop and start the server..

when running.. bash /etc/webmin/stop i get..
Stopping webmin server in /usr/local/webmin
stop: kill: (17049) - No such pid

then when running bash /etc/webmin/start i get
Starting Webmin server in /usr/local/webmin
Failed to bind port 10000 : Address already in use at
/usr/local/webmin/miniserv.pl line 284

webmin is not accessible..
when i run top i do not see any indication that miniserv is running

i tried searching the list archives.. but could not find a similar issue.
where do i go from here?

regards,
Ian
