Don't auto-download anything. Do what Jamie has done in the LDAP module, for example...Check for the module, and if it doesn't exist, allow the user to use the Perl Modules module to install it. You don't need to reinvent the wheel in this case. Jamie's already rolls quite nicely. I'll also mention that Jamie has started a simple set of GUI routines in web-lib.
