pix wccp with squid

All,
Is there a way to configure pix wccp to squid? It looks 
like the pix
will only accept webcents and n2h2 as vendors. Which begs 
the questions
why have a protocol that is vendor specific? At any rate, 
I was hoping
that maybe squid would be comptable with on the of 
vendors.

Also, I looking for the wccp module for linux 2.4. I 
browsed through the
downloads and couldn't find it.
