Re: HOW TO v2: Testing remote sites with Seleniumand Internet Explorer: msg#00101web.selenium.user
Hi Nate, What took the longest for me was trying to get other methods to work. I tried to get firefox working first without luck, then I tried to get the proxy thing working (had to figure out how to use subversion because I don't usually use this) checked out as per the posts but then the directories mentioned in the posts didn't seem to be there so I didn't know what to do next. Then I finally tried to get the HTA IE method working and it did. I would still prefer to go down the firefox/proxy path but I simply don't know how to get it working and I don't necessarilly need to for my purposes. Did you try my latest HOWTO? Strange that its not working for you. If you have to use firefox then I would suggest installing the selenium-runner extension as was mentioned and play with that. (Thats how I first found out about selenium). Or if you have access to the server that you want to test then upload the selenium folder to it. Thats the foolproof method.
