Summary: constant ip

Initial Comment:
i didnt see this posted anywhere.

im kinda new to this but from what i can tell Tor runs your
request through many dummy servers, and these servers
are randomized so you cant be tracked.

im not so much concerned with no being able to be
tracked, more so that i want my ip to not be my own. but
it needs to be the constant.

running Tor with Provoxy seems to keep the same ip for
a while, then switch, this closes my connection to the
server im trying to be connected to.

is to Tor in charge of which servers to go through? should
i be using something other than Tor?

When logging onto members-only websites using Privoxy, I
sometimes encounter a problem with Privoxy's constantly
changing IP address feature. One site I'm a paid-subscription
member of, runs a security monitoring program that currently
allows only eight IP address changes, and then it completely
disables the username and password, making it impossible
to get back onto the website until the administrator (angrily
and impatiently) resets the password. Is there any way to
keep the IP address sent to particular websites static?
