Hi, 
 
I am using Suse 9.1. 
I tried to install privoxy-suse-3.0.2-1.i386.rpm and 
privoxy-suse-3.0.3-1.i386.rpm but neither worked. I had the 
following output:

I then tried to install from the sources (privoxy-3.0.3-stable), but 
after compiling, when I su to install (make install), I have the

The first problem looks a SuSE specific problem, and sounds
like to me that the install script fails trying to add a
group that either already exists, or at least that ID exists.

The second problem is just a warning that you need to create
both a user and a group named 'Privoxy'. The installation
does not do this since there are many variations on the
process. You probably have utiliities like 'useradd' and
'groupadd' to do this, or something similar. Do that first,
then try the install again.
