Initial Comment:
Very new to Privoxy and don't know what could be 
causing this.

Works like a charm for a few minutes but then just 
exists for no obvious reason.

Platform
Intel PII-233Mhz
256MB RAM

Interesting problem.  Any ideas?  I am running six rather 
large action files.

I have the exact same problem. Privoxy just exits, nothing in the logs.
Furthermore, I'm unable to reach http://config.privoxy.org (it gives me the 
"Privoxy not configured"-page), only http://p.p works.
