[Pound Mailing List] Pound with basic authentication: msg#00063web.pound.general
A little over a year ago, Frank Schmirler submitted a pound 1.8 patch to this list that allowed pound to do its own authentication (i.e. before allowing access to the backend) using the Squid authenticators. My question to the list: Has anyone done anything similar with more recent versions of pound? There are a couple of bugs in 1.8 that cause it to be less than stable for production use, so my hopes were that someone has a similar implementation with a recent version of pound. A copy of Frank's original post is here: http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.pound.general/1444 Thanks!
