Ah, sorry.  According to MSDN, it's called ``set'', and it takes an
equal sign.  Try

  set HOME="/Programme/polipo-win32-0.9.99.0/"

Again, you cannot use a drive letter.  Sorry for that.

Exactly -- it's not used in that case, except for resolving the
socksParentProxy in case it's not localhost.  Set it to 127.0.0.1 to
be really sure there are no DNS leaks (in which case socksParentProxy
must be either localhost or an IP address -- it cannot be a host name).
