I have more questions for you:

Is machine A yours? Or is machine A just any computer, and you want your
website to be public? If it's a private website that only you access, it
may make more sense to set up a VPN.

Are machines B and C on the same network, and both under your control?
It may be simpler to do port forwarding, specifically DNAT (Destination
Network Address Translation.)

Is the website dynamically generated on machine C? If so, a properly
configured caching proxy (maybe Polipo) may help by avoiding machine C
generating the same exact content over and over. You'll have to be
careful, though, or you may find machine B serving an old version when
you want a new one instead.

Is there a somewhat slow or limited (Internet, maybe) connection between
machines B and C? If so, you definitely want a caching proxy (maybe
Polipo), but if possible, you should eliminate machine B and try to
connect directly to machine C.

Others may be able to help you more easily with configuring Polipo for
this kind of setup. I can help you with a VPN or DNAT configuration.
