Subject: ANNOUNCE: FreeBSD port polipo-0.9.8_1 - msg#00013
List: web.polipo.user
The current stable version port was updated to 0.9.8_1. It is based
on polipo 0.9.8 and contains the following fixes:
1. polipo shutdown on FreeBSD shutdown
2. fix for the annoying "502 Range without partial content." error.
With the exception of the problem with broken servers sending wrong
range headers polipo seems to be stable and working well. So I
decided to backport the fix from development branch.
The updated port is already commited to the FreeBSD repository and
also available at
http://www.sax.de/~frank/polipo4bsd/
Gruß,
Frank

No, this function can be called with a partial object. However,
nothing will break if you just do nothing in that case -- all that
will happen is that you might loose some data in low-memory
situations.

I'm looking forward to seeing your code.

P.S. I'll be away for two weeks, don't worry if you don't see any
replies from me.

Aborted file transfers (again)
I have found a site where Polipo always fail to download the entire
file. It is http://www.java.net/download/jdk6/binaries/ when you try
to download the latest binary snapshot. Sometimes I get a few
hundred K, sometimes a few M, but very rarely the whole file.
Sorry to bring this issue back up again.
I am using CVS build with theses as the latest changes:
