Attention: "Can`t connect to LDAP -SeRVER" is not true due to a in general
working parameters insertet in th Configuration and verified with several
clients.

I checked this error for 5 times now !
And got no idea !
Is it a bug?
Thanks for any hint !

Is this still a problem?

Thanks, I guess we need to make those have a default value, and by default
enable their usage.

Probably solution!

slapd logs:

"...posixAccount needs attribut homedirectory..."

If you fill in homedirectory and shell for the users in step two of the setup
process, it works.

OK, really need to see some logs from the LDAP server to

know why this is failing. I will commit a change to

not try the acl inserts if it does, but there is some other reason here.

Yes i did enter host rootdn.rootpw, accounts ou groups and ou accounts into
setup/config.php.

And adding new groups etc works with other clients like java ldapbrowser.

There are two different error messages depending on how you setup the ldap ou .

1. Export from sql:

"Database error:..... invalid SQL statement..."

Hint: There have been 3 posting in the user mailing lists with the same error.

2. Directly creating the ldap ous from the initial setup:

See the above error messages.

As far as i know this means that the id for the connection between the
ldapserver and the client passed by to verify the connection is not correct or
identical.

system: openldap 2.0.23-53, Mysql-3.23.48-19, php 4.1.0

cn=admins is correct

you have a basic ldap connection problem. Did you enter

the host, rootdn, rootpw, accounts ou and groups ou in setup/config.php ?
