Subject: RE: SWFTextField and SWFFont

I for this particular question

I am using

1. W2k, apache 2.0.48 with PHP Version 4.3.4 Ming 0.2a
2. Redhat 8.0 apache Apache 2.0 with PHP Version 4.2.2 Ming 0.2a

The W2K machine crashes apache.
The same script on redhat does not crash apache but the font does not
work unless edited as below.

As for recompiling Ming on the windows box the extension is built right
into it.

Which OS are you using, which version of Ming, Apache, etc.? Because
that's
definitely not typical Ming behavior.

In fact I don't think my Apache has ever crashed at all with Ming. I'm
on a
Linux system using Apache 1.3.29, PHP 4.3.4 and the version/variation of

Ming (0.2c ?? I think it's just 0.2a modified to work better with recent

versions of PHP) that comes with PHP.

Again, either way works for me, as expected.

I highly recommend reinstalling Ming from different sources, what you
have
sounds like it's just not working correctly.

BTW, this may be nitpicking but speaking of fonts... could I suggest
using
a crisper font (Arial or Verdana, etc.) for your outgoing email, or just

send as plain text? I don't know if you really like the Garamond font,
but
I found it horribly unreadable when I opened your email. =/ Not every
email
app will autoadjust point size for such a small font (yes I know Outlook

does, but not all of us use Outlook).
