OK. So the URL in lynx.cfg is wrong. The URL in lynx.cfg is:
"http://lynx.isc.org/release/lynx_help/alphatoc.html";
while the correct URL is:
"http://lynx.isc.org/release/lynx2-8-5/lynx_help/alphatoc.html";

Can we fix it in lynx.cfg?
