AOL is either netscape 6 or ie 6. I think they came out with both. either way, 
AJAX will work on them.

I did a bit of work recently to get AJAX working in a non-ActiveX environment. 
It emulates the XMLHTTPRequest object, but uses iframes instead. See here:

In short - whatever browser you end up with, AJAX will work in, and if it 
doesn't work yet, someone will get around to fixing that sooner or later - 
there are a load of ways to get the interaction going, so it's not all that 
hard to come up with workarounds.

If you need a hand, mail me, or talk to me in IRC. I've been working with AJAX 
for a while now and might know some solutions to some problems that you 
haven't thought of yet.
