1.3.0 simply exits whereas 1.2.8 works: msg#00066web.lighttpd
I wanted to try the new lighttpd 1.3.0 features, but unfortunately it does no longer seem to work for me (even with the default config). lighttpd 1.2.8 works fine with the same config file. All I can say is that lighttpd 1.3.0 silently exits whenever I start it. Using the following command lighttpd immediately terminates without an error message or error-log entry: lighttpd -f /etc/lighttpd.conf Adding the demonize argument (-D) does not have any effect. Maybe this helps to track down the bug: - When I omit the config file it says "(server.c.347) No configuration available." - When I specify a not existing config file it says "(config.c.748) opening configfile /etc/lighttpd.con failed: No such file or directory". I think this means that the error seems to occure after these points. I´m using Gentoo Linux on an Athlon 64 (but optimized for athlon-xp 32bit). If there is anything else that could help to resolve the error please let me know. Steffen |
