Summary: <o:p> tagpair not removed from Word2000 html

Initial Comment:
Hi there,

I have been trying to clean up Word2003-html documents
using Tidy released on 041005 (Win32 command line).
These documents contain a tagpair <o:p> and </o:p>
which will not be removed (atleast after quite some
testing with the various options). However, the tidy
output shows warnings about these tags.

Am I overviewing some configuration issue here? Or is
there a workaround?

We (the Flemish Parliament that is) are trying to get a
blindsurfer-label for our site and therefore it would
be great if we could strip off all those redundant
codes from Word generated html.

Kind regards and many thanks (keep up the great work).

I assume you are using the configuration option "--word-2000 yes".
This option automatically declares <o:p> </o:p> as new inline tags,
and warnings are given for proprietary tags.

Tidy doesn't yet know what to do with VML tags, but these will appear
as errors unless you declare them as new tags.

Regardless, the <o:p> </o:p> tags will NOT be stripped. There is no
workaround that I am aware of, other than to use an external tool or
script to do the job.

There is more work to be done on the Word cleanup - I'm not the
expert in this area. Perhaps you could see if there is an existing
feature request for improved Word cleanup support, and if not, then
add one.
