Sure, that was first what I did. Probably I missed some point - when doing
authentication for a WEB application, there is a statement which says there is
some callback url which will be used for confirmation with auth token passed
back. The question is - will the callback url be passed back to user as a
redirect (302 HTTP response code with redirect url), or it will be called by
Flickr directly?

I am asking because in last case I don't see a way to connect the auth token
of Flickr with user in our system, while first case would work fine (I will
have access to the local session etc).

RE: automatic authentication in Flickr

The first. Once the user has authenticated Flickr will redirect them to the url set for that API Key. You should then be able to save the auth token, pairing it with whatever credentials you have set in the users session Chris > -----Original Message----- > From: yws-flickr-hHKSG33TihhbjbujkaE4pw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:yws-flickr-hHKSG33TihhbjbujkaE4pw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of > Eugene Dzhurinsky > Sent: 31 October 2007 16:35 > To: yws-flickr-hHKSG33TihhbjbujkaE4pw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: Re: [yws-flickr] automatic authentication in Flickr > > On Wed, Oct 31, 2007 at 11:22:18AM -0500, Dan Coulter wrote: > > Be sure to read up on how the Authentication API works: > > http://www.flickr.com/services/api/misc.userauth.html > > Sure, that was first what I did.
