Actually, the current re-sizing rules seem to be that if the original is larger than 1280 pixels on either side, then a large size image is created. The large image will have a maximum length of 1024 pixels.

If the image that was uploaded is smaller than flickr's "large" size (1024x768max) then no large image will be created.  Try getting the "Original" size image and see how big it is.

when i try to access the "large" photo URL, i get a redirected to an image saying it is temporarily unavailable.

am i doing something wrong, or is there something wrong w/ flickr right now?
