We are currently developing a kind of rbs for egw.
To get an idea of what we are planning, please take a look here:
http://egroupware.org/egroupware/wiki/index.php?page=ResourceBookingSystem
I think it makes no sense to add an second calender into egw, like the rbs in
cvs does. We need to extend calendar to handle recources.
once callendar can do this, there could differnt apps to manage recourses due
to the users needs. Maybe it makes sense to add a basic module to the admin
section, so that basic resources could be added there.
In our case, we need a more general soulution, which results in an extra app,
where we can do much more things with resources. But if calendar has an
interface to add recources, we could also use it.
So my suggestion, is to discuss about a good interface between
calendar <--> Any Aplication
What methods does calender has to provide?
What about ACL?
What methods must "any app" provide?
comments on that are very recomend ...
