[Fwd: IE8 and JavaScript]: msg#00511web.dojo.devel
I posted this to a JavaScript forum and thought that you guys should also provide some input. Let's get 'em while they're givin'. ;-) -------- Original Message -------- Subject: IE8 and JavaScript Date: Tue, 31 Oct 2006 01:03:34 +0000 From: Dean Edwards <dean@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Microsoft are sending out feelers for IE8 -- they want to know what we want! The discussion seems to be 99% JavaScript so far. So what do you guys want in IE8 in terms of JS fixes? I listed the following three things (we were only allowed three): 1. Fix the event system. W3C compliant and compatible with other browsers. 2. XPath for HTML documents. 3. All DOM objects to be implemented as JavaScript objects (not COM!). So what would you guys like to see fixed? It doesn't have to be JavaScript. :-) -dean |
