was Re: New version of API tool up: msg#00419web.dojo.devel
I guess it could seem a little dick-ish to do, but since some of us have had more than a few heated discusses about the js language in general it only seemed fair. Brendan Eich gave a little keynote just now that pretty much asserted every single semi controversial point that I've seen Tom discuss/argue on this or on the interest list. From classes vs objects to runtime performance costs of creating too many objects. (A Point object wrapping x/y was even used specifically to discuss performance abuses with objects.) So....Maybe I'm a dick but I hope it at least puts to rest any sort of floating issues about what the language designer intended/intends with a few things...Hopefully anyone else who saw the presentation/keynote will correct me if I am wrong about any of this. -- Jesse Kuhnert Tapestry/Dojo/(and a dash of TestNG), team member/developer Open source based consulting work centered around dojo/tapestry/tacos/hivemind. http://blog.opencomponentry.com _______________________________________________ dojo-contributors mailing list dojo-contributors@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://dojotoolkit.org/mailman/listinfo/dojo-contributors |
