Hans, that search gave me some del.icio.us pages, and other sites that
would be great as a reference... but I'm looking for a list.

I'd already been there, Jim, and the WSG list isn't quite what I'm
looking for. I'm looking for a list that would discuss commands given
to a server in an SSH shell and other tasks on that level.

I've had some success from a couple of the other lists I subscribe to.
If anyone else on CSS-d is curious what I found, e-mail me off-list.
